I think you should remove some maps from the rotor: in particular cp_badlands.

I've noticed for the 3rd time when that map came up on this server it caused great imbalance (one team always camps their final point and refuses to attack, causing them to lose) and the server emptied soon after.

I'm not entirely sure but cp_granary could also have similar issues and might also be removed if we have it on.

To increase the amount of players on the server, you should also make more use of voting. Voting for all-talk or not at the start of a map is a good idea; as is voting for which map around 5 minutes before map end will allow players to be on maps they want to be.

(I know that admins can initiate voting, but they're not online throughout the whole day)

Map votes are now triggered before the end of each map, which seems to work nicely! smile Players can also start a map vote mid-game if enough players want to change level.

The default rotation should have also had the unpopular maps removed from the cycle.
