Well, I hope everyone was able to manage to download the latest Heavy Update yesterday - I know some of us had problems, but hopefully everything's been sorted for you guys today! smile If not, well this is the place to RANT about it, and if you are busy munching your sandviches, then, what do you think? Good, Bad...? Share your thoughts!

I must say I quite like some of the new features - especially the sandvich - it's not a bad way to become 'independant' from a medic. I guess we just have to be careful from the likes of gidde and galvatron when we are busily munching - wink What do you guys think, though? The new map styles - I think its quite good fun, will lead to a more tactical game I reckon and means everyone NEEDS to work together so that they can win. However, I am a bit spiffed about the *SPEC* bit - its a nice touch and isn't long to wait - but I do have an itchy trigger finger.... bash

Well, what are your opinions guys?

I don't play heavy (its my least played class lol), so I can't really tell about the Changes and Additions affecting the Heavy...

but I can tell you about the new gamemode ARENA: it's bloddy brilliant biggrin I love it, it's thrilling and challenging and finally something new apart from all the 2fort-instant-respawn-turtles-dullness wink

It takes some time to get used to the team-scramble-system, but I think its alright smile

PLUS I love the new Kritzkrieg with 25% faster charging in respect to the normal Medigun (instead of 10%) - finally it's usefull and I use it alot! So watch out, guys, you might be kritzed ;D

Arena mode it great as long as there are not too many players, 6vs6 is fine but 12vs12 is just chaos.
Anyway this mode is almost like playing the old quake rocket arena mod, for those that remember it smile

You know guys - your right - as usual.... wink

I do remember the Q3 Arena Games - they were very fast and very twitch finger style. The new maps are quite like that, except for the instant respwn bit though. The TF2:Arena maps (thank you winnie for putting it like this...it looks cool) are a little slower and a lot more tactical though, and therefore, I think are probably a lot more enjoyable. smile

Except, of course this goes without saying, the missing rocket launcher from Q3! good

Oh - wicked - I think I've managed to get a 'quote' button up and running. I reckon that would be very useful. However, the only way we can have it showing up is if the reply-form is on the same page, which I don't think is a bad idea either - It looks aright would you say?

PS. Sorry for going off-topic - wink

I think the new payload map is brilliant, but I'm not so sure about the arena mode. I like the new alpine style and hope there are more non arena maps in that style on the way.

I haven't managed to play on the new payload map - I can't seem to find it - sad . I think I'll have to do a manual search on the net..... Neways, arena - you need to play a little more mate - its quite fun when you get used to it: it makes the atmosphere all the more tense and exciting! But I very much agree with you on the alpine style - the new map looks AMAZING surprised .
